New items are slowly rolling out and should be online toward the end of May.
This past summer I had the opportunity to once again sell my jewelry at the scientific conference, Botany 2019, in Tucson, Arizona.
Scientists from many fields, including botany, lichenology, bryology, and ferns come from all over the world to take part of this several day exchange
of talks, field trips, and workshops.
I had the opportunity to do two fundraisers ~ one for a friend going to Antarctica for a Women in STEMM project and the other for my local school's
Power of the Pen to help students with travel costs. Both fundraisers were a success, and I am very grateful to all the folks at #Botany2019
who helped donate to these two great causes.
Blue Beehive Studio took donations for t-shirts and stickers for Krissa Skogen and #TeamUSA to attend this year's Homeward Bound program
to empower women in STEMM. You can learn more about this program at https://chuffed.org/project/help-krissa-empower-women-in-stemm-fight-climate-change.
The other successful fundraiser was a donation-based sale where proceeds went to my school's Power of the Pen team (Edison Middle School in Berlin Heights, Ohio). With the help of conference attendees, $200 dollars were raised! This helped cover the expense of sending one student to state competition at the end of this school year.
